ST MATTHEW’S GOSPEL – ‘The King and His Kingdom’

Session 18. The history of Christ is brought to life through Matthew’s Gospel. 7.00 – 9.15pm in the parish hall. Refreshments will be available.

 

Saturday 3rd December

ADVENT HOLY HOUR

10.00am – 11.00am. Time for prayer and reflection in the Abbey

 

Friday 9th December

Saturday 10th December

ADVENT RETREAT – “Prepare the Way of the Lord, living Advent to the full. . .”

Full day RETREAT for this Holy Season of Advent, led by Fr John Hemer. Talks, Silent Reflection, Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Divine Office, Sacrament of Confession. £12.00 including Hot Lunch, 10.15am – 4.30pm. Look out for flyers in both porches for more information and registration.

READINGS FOR CHRISTMAS

Music and readings for the Christmas season performed by Ealing Abbey Choir & Orchestra (conducted by Christopher Eastwood), at 7.30pm in the Abbey. WAITING FOR THE LIGHT

An afternoon of quiet reflection and prayer to prepare for the Christmas festival led by Fr. Robin. 1.00 – 5.00pm, in the Bulbeck Room. Refreshments will be available.

Confessions:- 10.00 – 11.00am, 4.00 – 5.00pm, 7.00 – 7.25pm

Blessing of the Crib, 3.00pm

Children come dressed as shepherds, angels, king’s etc

Solemn Vespers 6.00pm

Vespers: The Evening Prayer of Christmas Eve

sung in Latin and led by the Monastic Community.

There will be no 6.00pm evening Mass

Nativity of Our Lord 8.00pm

First Mass of Christmas

Matins 11.00pm

Morning Prayer of Christmas Day

led by the Monastic Community.

Carols 11.30pm

With the Ealing Abbey Choir
